                               RESOLUTION NO. 19693
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND THE
                   CITY FINANCE OFFICER TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST,
                   RESPECTIVELY, AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
                   CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH STONE
                   & WEBSTER ENGINEERING CORPORATION, RELATIVE
                   TO THE CRESTONE CIRCLE SLOPE STABILIZATION
                   PROJECT, FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST OF SEVEN
                   THOUSAND, FORTY-SIX AND 80/100 DOLLARS
                   ($7,046.80) FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
                   TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED FORTY-SIX
                   AND 80/100 DOLLARS ($21,946.80), WITHOUT
                   PRIOR APPROVAL.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Administrator of the Department
       of Public Works and the City Finance Officer be and are hereby
       authorized to execute and attest, respectively, Amendment No. 1 
to
       the contract for engineering services with Stone & Webster
       Engineering Corporation, relative to the Crestone Circle Slope
       Stabilization Project, for an additional cost of $7,046.80, for a 

       total amount not to exceed $21,946.80, without prior approval.
